Is it just me????

Or does the new blogger keep stopping other people logging on too. It says that the password is wrong, but I know that it's not!! Just had to re set it (again) in order to access my account.

Sorry I've been absent for so long but it's getting to a very busy time of year in the rugby calendar and fibrecrafts and blogging are having to take second place. It'd be much easier if I didn't have to keep on going in to work!!

Ro and I decided not to go to Twickenham for the EDF Cup final last weekend so I was all set for a quiet weekend at home when I got a 'phone call from her on saturday morning. She'd won two tickets for the game from BBC Radio Leicester!! Had to make haste and get myself down to Leicestershire so that we could get down to London on Sunday. I managed to clear it with my area co-ordinator at SUMA to work a three quarter day on the Monday so I had time to get back from Ro's on the Monday morning. Phew!!! (Oh the boys won the game too hurrah!!!!! First silverware for FIVE YEARS!!)

Other things I did on the Saturday.

Went to see my other sister and helped feed the cade (orphan) lambs (there's a regional term for you Purlpower).

Met one of their new calves who's having a bit of trouble sucking so needs to be taught how to go on (alas failed to get photo of sister and BIL down on hands and knees in cow muck trying to teach him!!!)

All quiet on the knitting front I fear; still halfway through a pair of socks, halfway through a second pair of slippers which I'm knitting with the remainder of the Freedom Spirit but single thread this time rather than double to see if it will shrink more in the felting process (I think it will).

And finally another picture from our weekend in Wales just 'cos I like the picture. (Ro was driving by the way!)

And as an afterthought I bought a skein of Handmaiden Sea Silk that weekend and I'm looking for a pattern for a lacy scarf or stole to knit with it. Any ideas?

I thought of you when I saw that the Tigers had won at the weekend! Hurray!! It was lucky that Ro won those tickets.
I wanted to buy a skein of the Handmaiden Sea silk too but I don't really know what to make. I was going to suggest the Swallowtail shawl, but I see you've made one already.
Ps - the little lambs and calf are very cute.

What about an enlarged version of Argosy from Knitty? It's an easy knit but looks lovely and would be very simple to enlarge into a stole.

Love the mini-moos and mini-baas so cute! Love the thought of the Sea Silk but no ideas on what pattern to suggest - too many lovely patterns out there to choose from. But thinking on it wasn't Ella on knitty knitted with a Handmaiden yarn? Of course it may need more but it's a lovely shawl to try!

Nice to hear from you again! I love all babies - lovely pics. And I love that bridge - I used to go over the old Severn bridge so many times - but the new bridge cuts loads of time off the journey.

The new blogger is a pain in the bum. I use Firefox so that helps a bit because it automatically saves all my passwords so I don't have to keep logging in but when I try to access blogs from work (OK, maybe I shouldn't be trying to access blogs from work!) where I use Internet Explorer it is much trickier because my new blogger is linked to my Google account rather than my old blogger account and hence has different log in. I'm not sure how the new blogger works for people who don't have google accounts but I have certainly noticed that I get much fewer comments since changing to new blogger.....

Thanks for the lambing dialect!
