Why don't we have yarn shops ....

.....like this in Britain???

Not fair!

Though I suppose if we did I'd just spend even MORE money!

and now for your amusement and delectation my number 1. finished Jaywalker

Have cast on the second last night just before bed time, but this morning I've been very good and kept off the knitting. Have been decorating my spare bedroom (only nine months since I started this). Walls finished now ready to start on the woodwork BUT have to cook lunch and then it'll be a knitting and watching the six nations afternoon. Woodwork will have to wait until next weekend. Hey, it's waited this long, it can wait a bit longer. At least I'm over that "oh god I should be decorating.............. perhaps next week!" and have actually got started again.

Love your Jaywalker socks. I thought about buying the same yarn at the Get Knitted sale, but as I don't knit socks.....
Thanks for your help on my superhero's cape. It really was confusing me!!! It's got going now ,hopefully it'll be finished by the weekend for the party

Sock is looking wicked. As in very very good. Excellent yarn choice. I have been torturing myself with clicking on the Get Knitted Sale every other day and still sticking to my yarn diet. It is a strange masochistic pleasure of mine. If we had yarn shops like the one featured we would be in deep, deep trouble. Or working in them!

Hi, thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. I still find it really exciting to think anyone else might read what I write. There seems to be a lot on your blog which makes me say ooh me too. E.g. I used to live in Nottingham and still work here in the Central Library.

P.S. We may not have yarn shops like that but there is always Harrogate and the Knitting and Stitching show.X

Just love your Jaywalker - that is a pattern I am going to have to try.

Isn't it the way that when you move away from a place, something amazing happens there (referring to your post on my blog about Knaresborough). I've just learnt that a town I used to live in (and hated every moment of it), now has a *3 storey* yarn shop in it! Might just have made living there bearable!
